Prince Andrew has reportedly joined King Charles at Balmoral for his annual summer break despite the latest humiliating claims. The Duke of York is also said to have been joined by his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
Andrew, 65, and Sarah, also 65, are reportedly staying at the seven-bedroom Craigowan Lodge, one of the late Queen Elizabeth II's favourite homes on the estate. Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, and their families are expected to join them later.
The invitation to join the King and Queen Camilla comes after his behaviour was panned in author Andrew Lownie's new royal book Entitled, which was released last week.
Andrew Lownie's book brought a fresh host of claims, including an alleged fight that took place with Prince Harry, which Harry's team has since denied, and claims that Andrew was once described as a "serial sex addict" by the late paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The annual summer break at Balmoral was a much-loved tradition of the late Queen-and one that the King has upheld.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children - Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis - are also set to join the King and Queen.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their two children, Lady Louise Windsor, 21, and James, Earl of Wessex, 17, are also set to join their fellow royals at the Balmoral Estate.
As reported by The Sun, an insider has said: "The Balmoral invitation is a huge show of support [to Andrew and Sarah]."
The King received an official welcome to Balmoral Castle on Monday morning, marking the start of his summer holiday.
The King and Queen are expected to stay in Scotland until mid-September.
