It's been eight years since Meghan Markle quit acting, with her latest film credit being a narrator gig for Disney wildlife documentary Elephant.
Now the Duchess of Sussex is set to make her Hollywood movie return in Close Personal Friends.
The 44-year-old was spotted on set in Pasadena, LA, playing herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios production.
The new comedy about two couples, one famous and one not, stars Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.
The synopsis reads: "A couple's chance encounter with a celebrity couple results in awkwardness."
According to The Sun: "This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves. She has been swamped with offers, but this one felt right." The insider divulged that this was Markle's way of testing the water to see if she wants to get back into acting and Prince Harry is "really supportive".
Close Personal Friends release date is TBC.
