BBC fans have demanded 'cancel the show' after the latest player was eliminated on Destination X. After it was revealed that Nick was the player to be leaving the bus, viewers watching at home were left fuming and thought he would be the winner. One person complained: "Disappointed Nick is out of #DestinationX. He was the best player...unfortunately, he didn't know that Pula is in Croatia!" A second also moaned: "Nick is out, games are gone, won't be watching anymore x #DestinationX." A third person also echoed: "I am so gutted, I really thought that Nick would get to the final and win!! #DestinationX."
A fourth person even said: "CANCEL the whole show, Nick was the only one who knew wtf he was doing and deserved that 100k." A fifth said: "Nick was great. Sorry to see him go. #DestinationX."
After the latest episode revealed that Destination X was in Venice, the blacked-out bus made its way through Europe to its next destination. However, the players were then ordered to get off the bus and were taken to a fake police station, where they were quizzed by host Rob Brydon. During the interrogation scenes, fans noticed that there were posters of clues on the walls, revealing hints of where the next destination was.
One person posted on X: "Got me shouting LOOK AT THE POSTERS at the TV." Another commented: "5 minutes in, and I think they are in Croatia #DestinationX." A third also typed: "They should be arrested for the start of this episode being so boring #DestinationX."
After Rob Brydon gave the players the option to take or reject an advantage, they all regathered on the bus. The episode then saw tensions flare as Nick and Saskia entered a fiery exchange.
Nick, who is an endurance athlete, clashed with Saskia after she claimed that he had been complaining throughout the entire trip, highlighting that his "negative energy" wasn't helping the team.
He responded that he gets through challenges due to his strong mentality, before Saskia lashed out at him and called him "privileged," and began to get emotional.
Destination X continues on BBC One tomorrow at 9pm.
