Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's personality clashes exposed in eye-opening outing

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement has delighted the world as the Cruel Summer singer finally appears to be getting her Love Story ending.

Yet the way they are each reacting to their newly engaged status is vastly different, body language expert Judi James has pointed out to the Mirror. The couple broke cover for the first time last night after their announcement at the NCAA college football game between Cincinnati and Nebraska in Kansas City.

The 'English teacher and gym teacher' were pictured sitting in a box at Arrowhead stadium, with Travis passionately cheering and yelling in a red-striped Nike jersey and baseball cap. The Shake It Off hitmaker, on the other hand, stayed seated but seemed highly amused by her husband-to-be's antics.

"Travis is peacocking, showboating and generally making himself as visible and as active as possible in body language terms while Taylor seems to have gone into demure 'adult' mode," Judi explains. "Travis is like a big puppy, leaping from his seat with some overkill reaction responses to everything out there on the field. He's clearly not going to suddenly change in terms of being mature and responsible, he's apparently loving being the center of attention here, posing with fans and letting every emotion show on his face during the game.

"Taylor is normally someone who will also spring to her feet with some uninhibited body language during a game, but here she sits in this newly demure 'fiancé' mode, smiling quietly at Travis as he happily lets rip.

"These first glimpses of the couple post-announcement do look telling in terms of how their marriage will work and it's an extension of the dynamic we saw in their recent podcast interview."

Just weeks ago, Taylor appeared on Travis' podcast with his brother Jason when she gave a rare insight into their relationship. Revealing that the podcast had "got her a boyfriend", she explained how she had seen a viral clip of Travis before they met speaking about how he had attended one of her concerts and that he was gutted that he hadn't been able to meet her.

She said: "My relatives, my cousins, were like, 'Please, please, please, he's amazing'. There were friends that were like, 'He's actually an amazing guy, he's so great'. There was a lot of people whispering in my ear about you."

Taylor went on to explain it was the moment she had "been writing songs about, wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager".

The couple also spoke about their day-to-day relationship, with Travis gushing: "I had never experienced something so mesmerising on stage, and then so real and beautiful in person."

Giving a further insight into their differing personalities, Judi says: "Taylor is very much the intellectual one with the smart business head and a passion for carefully controlling her career and her brand. Travis is a beaming, grinning, heart-on-his-sleeve guy who likes to keep it simple but who is clearly in awe of his bride-to-be. They are conjoined in terms of their mutual passion for each other and for their careers plus a shared love of being in the spotlight.

"This emotional twinning and their shared clear enjoyment about their latest announcement is visible in their facial expressions here.

"Taylor arrives wearing a coy and demure smile as she enters the stadium and that same, rounded cheek, closed lip 'knowing' smile is in place as she watches the game.

"For Travis it's a 'holding' ritual in between all the more active responses as when he quietens down, we can see a matching excitement and coyness from his eye-smile."
