Arsenal will look to bounce back from a recent 1-0 loss to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur when they face Villarreal in their penultimate pre-season friendly. Despite Pape Matar Sarr's halfway line wonder goal denying the Gunners a perfect tour of Hong Kong and Singapore, preparations for the Premier League campaign have been positive for the most part.
Mikel Arteta will undoubtedly be pleased with what he has seen, with a 1-0 win over AC Milan and a hard-earned 3-2 victory over Newcastle United to show for their summer endeavours. Arteta has also been busy bolstering his squad ahead of the new season, with Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres all through the door at the Emirates.
Each has received a warm welcome by the Arsenal faithful, and many have already made their unofficial debut in the famed red and white colours of north London.
