Police have launched an investigation after a baby died after suddenly falling ill.
Officers were called to the Rose Hill area of Oxford on Saturday morning. The infant was then rushed to hospital but died a few hours later. The force have announced the tragic death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.
Police later visited the baby's home, which is a regular procedure in cases of sudden or unexplained deaths. Witnesses saw officers, paramedics and critical care cars rush to the property, Oxford Mail reports.

A police spokesman saud: "Thames Valley Police were called to an address in the Rose Hill area at just before 9am on Saturday to reports that a baby was unwell.
"Sadly, although the baby was taken to hospital, they later died. Our thoughts are with the family at this extremely difficult time.
"The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious at this time."
