UPSC: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recommended 114 additional candidates from the Consolidated Reserve List for the Civil Services Examination (Main) 2024 to fill the remaining vacant posts.
1009 candidates were recommended in the earlier result.
 The result of the Civil Services Examination 2024 was released on April 22, 2025, in which a total of 1009 candidates were recommended for appointment to the IAS, IFS, IPS, and other Central Services (Group A and Group B) in order of merit against 1129 vacancies.
Reserve List Maintained Under Rule 20(4) and 20(5)
 At that time, the Commission informed that a Consolidated Reserve List had been prepared in order of merit below the last recommended candidate, in accordance with Rule 20(4) and 20(5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024. This list included the names of candidates from various categories.
114 candidates now recommended
 The Commission has now recommended 114 candidates, including 94 from the General category, 5 from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 13 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 1 from the Scheduled Caste (SC), and 1 from the Scheduled Tribe (ST). Information about these candidates will be provided directly by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T).
Candidacy of 15 candidates is provisional
 The Commission has also clarified that the candidacy of 15 of the recommended candidates is currently provisional. Final confirmation will be made after verification of their documents and eligibility.
