Arsenal are still targeting more new signings even after announcing the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres which saw their summer transfer window spend rise to well over £150million.
Prior to the Gunners going on their pre-season tour of Asia, sporting director Andrea Berta completed swoops for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. Cristhian Mosquera joining from Valencia was also at the final stages with that switch officially confirmed on Thursday.
No less than 24 hours later and preparations were being put in place for a Gyokeres announcement with a full agreement to sign him from Sporting CP reached on Friday which saw a statement on his arrival the following day.

The Swede has since flown out to Singapore and was presented out on the pitch ahead of Arsenal's 3-2 pre-season victory over Newcastle. Having not trained yet, there was no chance of his debut arriving in that game, but Mikel Arteta still used 22 players.
Max Dowman was one of those to come off the subs bench with the 15-year-old settling in seamlessly and winning a penalty that won Arsenal the game after being converted by Martin Odegaard. Reiss Nelson was one Hale End academy graduate that did not feature, however, as he looks set to join Fulham on loan.
The Gunners are likely to need permanent outgoings if they hope to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. Interest in the England international has been present for the last six or so weeks, with the attacking midfielder very much open to the move.
His £67.5million release clause being paid in full will require Arsenal to raise some funds from sales. Jakub Kiwior, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Sambi Lokonga and Gabriel Jesus, despite his injury, are just a few players that may be sold.
Taking into account a number of factors, selling those five names still may not be enough which could require one of Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard to be moved on. While Eze can cover at left wing, it is not his natural position and, thus, a replacement for either Martinelli or Trossard would most likely be needed.
The former would certainly cost more and therefore a larger portion of funds could be available to sign a top-level wide forward with similar traits. AC Milan's Rafael Leao is perhaps the best option that has already been linked with his quality on full display during his side's 4-2 win over Liverpool on Saturday.
The Italian giants have no plans to sell currently and despite having a sensational £153million (€175m) release clause in his contract, it seems more likely offers in the region of £87million (€100m) would be considered.
That is quite a significant amount of funds to part ways with, but his signing alongside Gyokeres, Eze and several others could absolutely take Arsenal to the next level.
